From her tippy toes to the top of her head
Warmth rising
Flushing her cheeks
To a glorious rosy red
*
Giddiness, joy, elation
Her head did spin
Was it the champagne
Or daily life intoxication
*
A beautiful memory
A face looking at her
Feeling nostalgic
oh dear how young we were
*
Her life of spectacular moments
Tells story upon her beautiful face
Softness, fine lines
Charming, full of grace
*
Youth lays behind
Only in time
Keep dreaming of that life
Passion keeps you in prime
*
A turning point
A time of transition
A time in life
A new definition
*
From light to dark
She will shine inside
Itβs grey, Imperfect
Move effortlessly through to the other side
*
Wisdom and experience
As she enters a new phase
Elegance, truth and love
She will continue to navigate lifeβs maze
*
Welcome to middle age a time of transition. It doesn’t have to be a time of darkness. Stay in the light πππ

I have reached my fabulous 50s. Guess what, itβs okay. 20 years in the health and wellness industry. Educating men and women on the importance of nourishing their bodies with good food, moving with integrity, recharging their energy levels and empowering their minds. I love my job. A mother of two boys who are now men and my greatest achievement. A lover of words, an aspiring author with a book written and no idea where to go next, a poet who writes from the heart and her vulnerability. A foodie who loves to experiment, a salad lover , But not just your Every day salad, I throw in anything you can think of it ends up in my salad. I have a reputation for making the greatest weirdest salads around. As a total contradiction, I have a ridiculous sweet tooth.
I rescue abandoned souls in the bodies of dogs, an animal lover, Who sometimes likes animals more than humans. My teacher in life, my mother never ceases to amaze me. I am one fortunate human being who is filled with gratitude for the life she lives.

I wish more people would embrace maturity instead of fearing old age π

I agree Sue. Iβm currently preparing a seminar/Presentation for women, encouraging them to make better lifestyle choices, support each other, and realise that life just gets more fabulous. Fourth of July. Iβm really looking forward to it

Wonderful, Janette!
I remember my mother turning thirty…and thinking that, gorgeous as she was, she was veritably ancient! I’m twice that age now, and apart from the general aches of behaving as if I still am that age, still feel that age too. If my face tells my life story… that’s fine by me. π
I’m rather passionate about this subject… and have written a lot about it over the years. You might enjoy this one, if you haven’t seen it already π https://scvincent.com/2018/01/10/look-in-the-mirror/
